People commented about this number- “This woman called me and wanted to know all the info on my medicare card. Everything. Said it was a call to establish that I was still eligible for medicare. Even wanted to know my email address. Caught me off guard and very sleepy on meds. I told her no, I wasn’t going to give it to her; she said that if I didn’t, would no longer qualify for medicare. I gave her a bunch of fake info, so at the end of the call, I told her that I didn’t believe she was with medicare — that they don’t do things like this over the phone. But after giving her the false info (except one old email that I no longer use because I wanted to find out what she was up to) she said, “Ok, you are still eligible until the end of the year.” What the hell does that mean? When I called the number it was always busy and a land line, NOT a cell number.
