Amazon Great Indian Festival 2021 dates are now officially announced. This festive season sale will come live on 3rd October, Sunday. Here Amazon is offering great discounts on gadgets. They are also giving cashback, exchange offers, no-cost EMI offers, and much more.
Amazon is a US e-commerce giant. It announced the launch of this year’s Great Indian Festival through a virtual press conference. Just like the previous year, this online sale will run throughout the entire month of festivals in the country. Those who are prime members will get early access to deals and discounts available during the sale. Sometime early this week, the biggest rival of Amazon, Flipkart, announced that its Big Billion Days 2021 sale will go live on 7th October, Thursday.
In order to attract customers during the Great Indian Festival sale, Amazon has created a webpage. This webpage will show the discounts on various products. These products include mobile phone models and accessories, electronic devices like tabs, laptops, and smartwatches. It includes home appliances too which include smart TVs. This Amazon sale is also claimed to offer its Echo, Fire TV, and Kindle devices. These will be available at the lowest prices of the year. On top of that, there will be multiple Alexa smart home combo offers. Amazon did this to expand the user base of the voice assistant in the country.
In addition to offers, deals, and discounts, there will be 1000 new product launches from various top brands. The brands include Apple, Fossil, HP, Sony, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Lenovo, and Asus. Through a statement, Amazon also revealed that there will be new launches around Sony’s PS5 and Microsoft Xbox. Amazon Pay also allows customers to save up to Rs. 5000 during the Great Indian Festival Sale. They will receive this money off only if they make payments for their booking tickets, utility bills and send money through Amazon Pay. On top of that, Amazon has partnered with HDFC bank to offer a 10 percent instant discount. This will happen only if the customer makes purchases using an HDFC bank credit and debit card as well as EMI transactions during the Great Indian Festival sale.
Customers who already have Amazon Prime membership or have joined this membership recently will get early access to the Great Indian Festival sale. There will also be additional cashback offers, additional warranties, and extended no-cost EMI options. All these will be available during special Prime Fridays.
Market measurement firm Nielsen and Amazon India Vice President Manish Tiwary conducted a survey. According to the results, he saw that 78 percent of its sellers are expected to reach out to new customers during this festive season in the country. He said this in a press conference. Even as many as 71 percent of the surveyed sellers look forward to increasing their sales in this festive season, he added.
Unlike Flipkart, it is a month-long sale. Amazon recently expanded its language support to Bengali and Marathi. This would help sellers reach new customers. The company is also updating its voice shopping experience. It will do so by adding Hindi support in the coming future. Tiwary also said something regarding the month-long sale. He quoted, “If you look at how the customers celebrate this festive season, it is not about Diwali, it starts with Dussehra, Navratri, and continues through the month, and in sync with it, the Great Indian Festival also will be a month-long festival. So, customers can enjoy a month-long celebration and access great everyday deals from some of the biggest Indian and international brands, and a vast selection from our small sellers.”
