India’s 23 years old wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya enters Olympic Finale. Indian wrestler. Ravi Kumar Dahiya put on an exciting exhibit on Wednesday (August 4) to enter the gold medal remaining in the 57kg class by way of defeating Kazakhstan’s Nurislam Sanayev in the semifinal. Dahiya is now after Sushil Kumar to enter Olympics Finals. He assured to have medal for Country.
With this incredible news, Ravi also became the 5th Indian wrestler overall (after KD Jadhav in 1952, Sushil Kumar in 2008 & 2012, Yogeshwar Dutt in 2012, and Sakshi Malik in 2016) to secure an Olympic medal for India.
Ravi, who led 2-1 in the first period, trailed 2-9 early in the second, with the injured Kazakh employing a takedown followed by a series of twists holding Ravi’s legs. After Ravi showed his class to close the gap, and came back, and at 5-9, he spectacularly pinned the Kazakh to become the second wrestler after Sushil Kumar (2012) to reach the final.
Ravi Kumar was born on 12 December 1997. in the village of Nahri in Sonipat district, Haryana. Since age 10, Dahiya was trained by Satpal Singh at the Chhatrasal Stadium in North Delhi. He became 3rd in World Championship.Dahiya brought Gold at the 2020 Asian Wrestling Championships in New Delhi and the 2021 Asian Wrestling Championships in Almaty.
Now 136.64 Crore people of India is looking forward to seeing him with the Gold medal. India is waiting to welcome him in native land.
