Tokyo Olympics is Best Olympic Season for India

India finishes 48th rank in Tokyo Olympics with 7 medals. This is the best Olympic season for India, in four decades. Now India is in the top 50.

Neeraj Chopra won a historic gold medal on August 8, India creates history in athletes. He is the first track and field athlete to win an Olympic gold medal for India. The throw of 87.58m in the finals stunned everyone in the athletics world and ended India’s 100-year longing for a track and field medal in the Olympics

Just before that, Bajrang Punia won a bronze medal, in wrestling. He won this match with his knee injury. It was an act of bravery and excitement. He was desperate to get a medal for Country.

 Before that P.V. Sindhu got Bronze in women’s Badminton singles. She is now a badminton player with two Olympic medals. 

Ravi Kumar Dahiya got a Silver medal in wrestling. He had bitten in the semi-finals match. But still bagged a silver medal for Nation. 

Mirabai Chanu earned the very first medal of this season for India. She bagged the silver medal in the weightlifting 49 kg category. She just set the example of hard work and bravery.  

And if we come to say words about bravery and hard work, the Indian Hockey team bagged a bronze medal for us. They couldn’t make their way to Finale but made a great comeback with bronze. 

Last but not least, Lovlina Borgohain earned Bronze in Boxing and joined the group with Mary Com and Vijendra Singh. 

 In this run India just outdone herself. They just finished a long run towards the finale. Each and every athlete were so sporting and had god-gifted abilities. Special mention into these names are- Indian Women’s Hockey team, Bhavani Devi in Fencing, Aditi Ashoke in Golf, Mary Com in Boxing, Kamalpreet Kaur in Disk throw. They all just did a great job in Tokyo Olympics. And now they are our new hope to see the future of India. 

In Rio Olympics, India got just two medals. In the 2012 Olympics India won six medals. Those were two silvers and four bronze. Until today,  India recorded its best-ever medley tally at the Olympic Games.
